Intermediary

We as intermediaries are duty bound to the court, and look to enable you to put forward your evidence in a way that is made comfortable and understandable to you.

We facilitate communications between a person considered vulnerable and a person of order. This can include the Police and a solicitor.

There is no specific definition for vulnerable but  can include for example if the person:

·     Has a learning difficulty

·     Has a mental health condition which affects their ability to communicate

·     Is a child under the age of 18, or a vulnerable adult.

·     Has a physical disability which impacts on their ability to communicate affectively

·     Has previously been a victim of domestic or sexual abuse

·     Has gender or sexuality issues

If the vulnerable person is a suspect or a defendant in a Criminal Case/Family Court Case then please contact us directly for an intermediary assessment. The Legal Aid Agency has a power to appoint and fund in the interests of a fair trial.

We are trained and skilled, supervised and have DSB  (CRB) clearance. We are also trained to enhance our practise to continue to create best practice around adapting communication.
